We recently acquired the old store in Edge, Texas, and have refurbished it, keeping as much of the original contents, fixtures and character as possible. Our goal is to help rebuild our community, bring it together and encourage the fine heritage that abounds here.Helping each other and maintaining the integrity of the past is our main objective.We have plans to bring back as many of the services to this growing community as there was nearly a century ago.
Back then there was a barber shop, blacksmith, pharmacy, at least four other businesses, a cotton gin and a school.This seems like a big task . Well, yes it is. But we already have a great start with the reopening of the Edge General Store! There is a great volunteer fire department and of course two churches right next door!
